How do I get involved?

We are hoping and planning to go ahead with our annual Triathlon at this stage. In accordance with COVID-19 restrictions and safety requirements, we will need to ensure operationally we can proceed based on the restrictions and also require final approval from Wicklow County Council. In the unfortunate event that we cannot proceed, we will offer you a choice of a refund of your registration  or you can still donate you registration fee to the charity you have chosen and you can complete your own 10km walk cycle near your home instead.

Sporting Proud asks participants if the event does not go ahead and is cancelled that the registration fee of €150 is seen as a non-refundable donation for individual entrants and goes to the selected charity. If you don’t tick this box then if the event is cancelled we will refund your fee.

In the meantime, online registration is now open. You can sign up below or donate to help our amazing charities. They need our help more than ever now. This event is for EVERYONE catering to all levels of fitness from beginners to elite triathletes with two distances available, Sprint and Olympic. Athletes can compete as individuals or get a team together and designate a runner, cyclist and swimmer.

Our Charities

The Sporting Proud Triathlon is run through volunteers that graciously give their time and resources, meaning that proceeds from the event go directly to the charities.

Every year we partner with outstanding charities that make a difference in the lives of Irish children.

LauraLynn provide care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Their holistic approach enables parents to be ‘Mum & Dad’ rather than full-time carers.

Fundraising Goals

To support our charities and make a difference in the lives of Irish children, we need your help to fundraise. We are challenging participants to reach out to friends or family and ask them to support the cause. Individual entrants are asked to target €250 in their fundraising efforts and teams €750. Registration fees will count towards your goal.

We want you to meet and exceed your fundraising targets which is why we are using www.justgiving.com to make it easy for you to set-up an individual or team page where secure donations can be made with a click of a button.
