Sporting Proud Update
4 August 2020

Unfortunately, Sporting Proud Triathlon will not be going ahead this year. We have decided that it would not be safe to proceed with the event due to COVID-19 concerns. Between the charities and ourselves cannot generate enough participants for the event due to people’s concerns.

2020 would have been our 23rd year to host this special event in sunny Brittas Bay, and as disappointed as we are, we take the safety of all our athletes and volunteers very seriously, and could not go ahead knowing the risks. However, we fully intend on returning next year, stronger than ever. So get your running shoes on and get training! We’ll see you on Saturday 4th September, 2021 (date tbc).

For those who have already registered for the 2020 Triathlon, we will be in touch regarding your registration fees and donations. Alternatively, you can drop us an email at info@sportingproud.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Our Charities

The Sporting Proud Triathlon is run through volunteers that graciously give their time and resources, meaning that proceeds from the event go directly to the charities.

Every year we partner with outstanding charities that make a difference in the lives of Irish children.

LauraLynn

LauraLynn provide care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Their holistic approach enables parents to be ‘Mum & Dad’ rather than full-time carers.

Fundraising Goals

To support our charities and make a difference in the lives of Irish children, we need your help to fundraise. We are challenging participants to reach out to friends or family and ask them to support the cause. Individual entrants are asked to target €250 in their fundraising efforts and teams €750. Registration fees will count towards your goal.

We want you to meet and exceed your fundraising targets which is why we are using www.justgiving.com to make it easy for you to set-up an individual or team page where secure donations can be made with a click of a button.
