Our Charities

The Sporting Proud Triathlon is run through volunteers that graciously give their time and resources, meaning that proceeds from the event go directly to the charities.

Every year we partner with outstanding charities that make a difference in the lives of Irish children.

LauraLynn

LauraLynn is Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice. Providing palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions and supports for their families, services include direct care and short stay breaks, symptom management, family supports, end of life care and bereavement supports.   LauraLynn’s holistic approach to care enables patients to be children and parents to be “Mum & Dad” rather than full-time carers.

The Darndale Belcamp Integrated Childcare Service (Jigsaw Centre) is an early years professional service which provides high quality, affordable childcare to the families of the Darndale Belcamp and Moatview areas. The service breaks down exclusion by providing an integrated service for all children regardless of their background, belief or ability. Our experienced staff team nurture fun loving, inquisitive children and ensure that every child has the tools to build a great future and live their dreams.

The funding raised through Sporting Proud will go towards developing a covered all weather outdoor area where the children can play in all seasons and benefit from natural play resources.

Countless lives in Ukraine are being torn apart by violence and insecurity. Displacement, trauma, and separation from loved ones, will have devastating consequences on the people of Ukraine and especially the children..

Helping Irish Hosts is a volunteer organisation that has matched almost 800 Ukrainians with over 260 Irish host households since March 2022 and advocates widely for host support and recognition. www.helpingirishhosts.com has everything from how to get Ukrainian subtitles on your netflix,to how to get a local support team in place, to what to do if you’re finding things tricky.

33,000 displaced Ukrainians have arrived in Ireland already (May 22) and we are running out of emergency accommodation. Funds raised from this event will ensure that Ukrainian mums, grannies, grandads, aunties and kids can move out of emergency accommodation, into shared homes, where they’ll be helped to find jobs, school places, English language classes, friends and more.
